On June 23, 2007 I attended a New York Dragonfly and Damselfly Survey (NYDDS) workshop at the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge.  The workshop was designed to teach volunteers to identify families of Odonata that can be found in New York State.  The idea is to turn loose volunteers all over the state to count Odenates in many different kinds of habitats.

On the following pages, I'm going to document my adventures as an official Odonate volunteer.   All of my identifications are tentative.  Hopefully they will get more accurate as I gain more resources and experience.  Thank you for joining me, lets get slogging.
